Ulus Vocational School Holds Its 2024 I. Advisory Board Meeting with Stakeholders from Public and Private Sectors
Ulus Vocational School successfully conducted its 2024 I. Advisory Board Meeting online with the participation of external stakeholders from both the public and private sectors, as well as the School’s Director, Deputy Directors, Department Heads, and other internal stakeholders. This year's meeting agenda included the approval by the Council of Higher Education (YÖK) to enroll students in the Clothing Production Technology Program under the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather for the 2024-2025 academic year, and the upcoming 3rd International and 18th National Office Management and Secretariat Congress to be hosted by Bartın University (BARÜ) on November 1-2, 2024, under the theme "New Business Models and Sustainability in Office Management."
In his opening speech, Associate Professor Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, Director of Ulus Vocational School, provided insights into the newly initiated Clothing Production Technology Program and the congress hosted by our university. Güner stated, "The Clothing Production Technology Program will be a significant step in training qualified workforce for the textile and fashion industry. Through this program, our students will be able to closely follow industry developments and graduate with hands-on training. I would like to thank everyone who contributed to the establishment of this program." Additionally, Güner highlighted, "The 3rd International and 18th National Office Management and Secretariat Congress, hosted by BARÜ, will address new business models and sustainability in office management, providing a platform for sharing innovative approaches in the sector. This congress will be an important platform for participants both academically and professionally."
During the meeting, stakeholders shared valuable opinions and suggestions on the impact of the newly opened Clothing Production Technology Program on the sector and the opportunities the congress will bring. The stakeholders' views, suggestions, and support were warmly welcomed, emphasizing the importance of strengthening cooperation and development for a more effective collaboration in the upcoming period. The meeting concluded with well-wishes and positive remarks.
