Within the scope of the Vocational Conversations IX event organized by our Vocational School, the topic of "Current Situation in Fighting Forest Fire" was discussed with the participation of our students and grad students
This month's main topic of our Vocational Talks series, which has become traditional by our Vocational School and in which our students, grad students and academic personal involved, was “Fighting against Forest Fire”. Istanbul Regional Directorate of Forestry Department of Fighting Forest Fires İkram ÇELİK participated as a speaker and made statements on definition and chemical structure of forest fire at the event and he stated that "Fighting against forest fires, which increased between 1937 and 2020, is one of the topics that we show great devotion and sensitivity in our institution. He continued his speech saying “The forest fires are damaging our forest areas, which is one of the biggest natural richness’s of our country.”
In the last part of his speech, ÇELİK shared pictures about struggle and fighting forest fires using visuals, answered questions from participants and gave information about technological developments and scientific studies carried out in this field in recent years. The interview ended with the presentation of the certificate of appreciation by The Director of our Vocational School, Dr. Kadri AKÇALI and the sharing of good wishes.
