Hosted by Bursa Uludağ University Vocational School of Technical Sciences, the XIII International Vocational Schools Symposium (UMYOS 2025) was held between 13–17 October 2025 and featured significant sessions shaping the future of vocational education. Within this framework, graduates of the Land Registry and Cadastre Program at Bartın University (BARU) Ulus Vocational School successfully presented their research project, which was supported by the TÜBİTAK 2209-A/B Student Research Projects Program.

The study, titled “An Investigation of the Relationship Between University Students’ Digital Citizenship Levels and Internet Literacy Self-Efficacy Levels: A Case of Land Registry and Cadastre Program Students,” was conducted by project leader Beyza Tanrıkulu and researcher Buse Saraç under the supervision of Lecturer Hatice AY. The project examined the digital citizenship and internet literacy levels of 346 Land Registry and Cadastre students from across Türkiye. The findings, which aim to shed light on improving digital skills of vocational education students in the digital transformation era, were presented to the audience at Prof. Dr. Mete Cengiz Cultural Center.

The symposium’s theme this year, “Professions of the Future: Green-Collar Jobs,” was translated into tangible action through the graduates’ project presentation. Beyond academic knowledge exchange, the event emphasized environmentally sensitive and sustainable approaches, carrying special significance as part of the 50th anniversary celebrations of Bursa Uludağ University.

UMYOS 2025 left a lasting impression on its participants by providing an inspiring platform focused on digitalization in vocational education, innovative project development, enhancing student engagement, and advancing green transformation.
