Evaluation Meetings Held at Ulus Vocational School within the Scope of “Unit Evaluation and Improvement Talks

In order to enhance the quality of education and training processes and to strengthen the satisfaction of student, academic, and administrative stakeholders, evaluation meetings were organized at Ulus Vocational School within the scope of the “Unit Evaluation and Improvement Talks.”
The first meeting was held on 17 December 2025 at 11:00 a.m. in the Ulus Vocational School Library, with the participation of the Director of the Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, Vice Directors, the School Secretary, class representatives, and students. The meeting commenced with a presentation by Vice Director Dr. Erdal Güler, Lecturer. During the meeting, students’ views and suggestions regarding academic processes, social opportunities, campus life, and administrative operations were received. Based on the feedback obtained, evaluations were made to improve educational activities and student services, and the issues raised were recorded to be taken into consideration in future improvement efforts.
The second meeting, held on the same day at 12:00 p.m. with the participation of the school administration and academic staff, focused on incentive and reward practices related to educational activities. In this context, based on the results of course evaluation surveys, a Certificate of Appreciation was presented by Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, Director of the Vocational School, to Dr. Eren Gürsoy Özdemir, Lecturer in the Land Registry and Cadastre Program of the Department of Architecture and Urban Planning, who ranked first within the unit. In addition, the process of submitting unit-specific good practices related to academic and administrative processes to the Quality Coordination Office was discussed, and activities carried out within the framework of quality assurance were reviewed, with suggestions for continuous improvement being shared.
It was emphasized that these meetings are of great importance in ensuring the active participation of student, academic, and administrative stakeholders, strengthening the culture of quality at the institutional level, and contributing to continuous improvement in education and training processes. The management of Ulus Vocational School also stated that similar evaluation and improvement activities will continue to be carried out at regular intervals.
