A MEDEK Awareness and Preparation Meeting Held at Bartın University Ulus Vocational School

A briefing session was held at Bartın University (BARÜ), Ulus Vocational School to enhance the awareness of academic and administrative staff regarding the processes of the Association for Evaluation and Accreditation of Vocational Education Programs (MEDEK) and to strengthen preparations for the upcoming accreditation procedures.
Dr. Kadri Akçalı from the Clothing Production Technology Program delivered a comprehensive presentation on the significance of MEDEK processes, the required steps, and key criteria. Sharing his expertise as an official MEDEK auditor, Dr. Akçalı explained the impact of these processes on academic quality and institutional development, emphasizing the importance of coordinated efforts and effective collaboration throughout the accreditation journey.
Following the presentation, Ulus Vocational School Director Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner thanked the academic and administrative staff for their participation. He highlighted the strategic importance of MEDEK processes for institutional advancement and stressed the necessity of conducting the related preparatory work carefully, systematically, and in a sustainable manner.
At the end of the meeting, a surprise celebration was organized for Hatice Ay, a lecturer in the Title Deed and Cadastre Program, who recently completed her doctoral studies and earned the title of Doctor. A congratulatory cake was cut in her honor.
