Workplace Training Evaluation Examinations Conducted Within the Scope of the 3+1 Education Model
The Workplace Training Evaluation Examinations conducted within the scope of the 3+1 Education Model, which covers all programs offered by our Vocational School, were held face-to-face on June 15, 2026.
Students who received practical training at various institutions and workplaces throughout the Spring Semester of the 2025–2026 Academic Year participated in the evaluation examinations organized at the end of their training period. Having had the opportunity to apply their theoretical knowledge in real working environments and gain professional experience, the students shared their experiences regarding the training process during the examinations, which they attended with great enthusiasm.
During the evaluations carried out by the Departmental Workplace Training Commissions, students were asked questions regarding the Workplace Training process, the competencies and skills they gained throughout the training period, and the positive and negative aspects they encountered while applying theoretical knowledge in practice. The examinations were completed following the assessment of student presentations, the review of Workplace Training files, and interviews conducted by the commission members.
Emphasizing the importance of Workplace Training, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, Director of Ulus Vocational School, stated: “Through the 3+1 Education Model, which has been implemented at our University since 2019, our students complete three semesters of theoretical education before participating in Workplace Training during their final semester. We believe that this 14-week training period throughout the spring semester makes a significant contribution to our students’ professional development and preparation for working life. I would like to thank all of you for representing our Vocational School in the best possible way at the institutions and organizations where you carried out your Workplace Training. I sincerely believe that you will continue to demonstrate the distinction of being graduates of Ulus Vocational School throughout your professional careers. I would also like to express my gratitude to our Rector, Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya, who has supported this educational model since its inception; to our academic and administrative staff who have guided our students; and to the General Directorate of Forestry, the General Directorate of Land Registry and Cadastre, and private sector representatives for their valuable support. We have successfully completed a productive and rewarding academic period. Many of you have now reached the stage of graduation. I congratulate you on this achievement and wish you continued success throughout your lives.”
Through these evaluation examinations, our students had the opportunity to present the knowledge and experience they gained during their Workplace Training before academic commissions, while also demonstrating their professional competencies prior to graduation.
