Ulus Vocational School Students Participate in a Technical Visit to the IFCO Istanbul Fashion Connection Fair

Students of the Garment Production Technology Program within the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather at Bartın University (BARÜ) Ulus Vocational School participated in a technical visit to the Istanbul Fashion Connection (IFCO) Ready-to-Wear and Fashion Fair, held at the Istanbul Fair Center.

The technical visit, organized under the coordination of Head of the Department Dr. Kadri Akçalı and accompanied by academic staff, was attended by first- and second-year students of the program. Within the scope of the visit, students had the opportunity to visit the stands of domestic and international companies operating in the ready-to-wear sector and to gain first-hand insights into production processes, collection planning, design approaches, and current industry trends.

It was stated that the technical visit contributed significantly to students’ ability to integrate theoretical knowledge with industry practices, enhance their professional awareness, and support their post-graduation career planning. Moreover, such technical visits were emphasized as playing an important role in enabling students to closely follow sectoral developments and improve their professional competencies.

Assoc. Prof. Şükrü Teoman Güner, Director of Ulus Vocational School, highlighted the importance of bringing students together with sector-oriented events in terms of vocational education. He expressed his gratitude to the academic staff who contributed to the planning and implementation of the technical visit and stated that similar activities would continue to increase in the future.
