Ulus Vocational School Students Meet Science at “Bilimfest BARTIN
Ulus Vocational School participated in “Bilimfest BARTIN,” held at Bartın University’s Kutlubey Campus on 15–17 October 2026, with the involvement of its academic staff and students.
Organised under the theme “Science Will Come Alive with You,” the festival offered students the opportunity to explore a wide range of activities focused on science, technology and innovation. Students from different programmes at Ulus Vocational School visited various exhibition stands and took part in interactive workshops, including “The Golden Rectangle and the Fibonacci Parrot,” “Arduino Literacy and Basic Design Workshop,” “Disaster Technologies and Rescue Physics Simulation,” and “A Fresh Look at the History of Bartın.” These activities provided students with opportunities to engage with scientific concepts through hands-on experiences.
As part of the festival, students from the Department of Textile, Clothing, Footwear and Leather at Ulus Vocational School also contributed directly to the event by organising a “Recycling and Sustainable Fashion Workshop.” The workshop attracted considerable interest from participants and visitors, raising awareness of sustainability, recycling and environmental responsibility through creative approaches to fashion.
Supported by TÜBİTAK, the festival provided a valuable opportunity for vocational school students to follow technological developments, strengthen their motivation to develop projects and explore innovative ideas. Ulus Vocational School extends its thanks to the university administration and the entire organising committee for their efforts in bringing science and technology closer to young people and future professionals.
