Within the framework of the Ministry of Youth and Sports’ “We Are Volunteers (Gönüllüyüz Biz)” program, “PARAFEST 2025,” which will be organized for the first time under the coordination of Bartın University (BARÜ), will be held in cooperation with universities from the Western Black Sea region and hosted by BARÜ. As part of the inclusive sports support activities carried out by the Bartın University Office for Students with Disabilities, blindfolds were produced by students of the Clothing Production Technology Program at Ulus Vocational School for the “Goalball Awareness Event (PARAFEST 2025),” held on 18 December 2025.

In line with the request of the Office for Students with Disabilities, a total of 50 blindfolds were produced for use in the event, which will include the participation of visually impaired individuals. The production process was carried out under the supervision of Lect. Halide Akkuş, a faculty member of the Clothing Production Technology Program, with the active involvement of students. The hands-on production process, covering the stages of design, cutting, and sewing, made a significant contribution to strengthening students’ professional knowledge and skills.

The activity enabled students to translate their theoretical knowledge into practice, while also fostering important values such as social responsibility, teamwork, and production discipline. In this respect, the initiative contributed to strengthening the inclusive education approach at BARÜ and once again highlighted the importance of production-oriented activities carried out by students with a strong sense of social responsibility.
