Students Showcase Innovative Structural Design Projects Share

The outcomes of the practice-oriented education activities carried out within the Smart Infrastructure Technology Program at Bartın University, Ulus Vocational School were presented to visitors through the “Structural Design Workshop Exhibition.” Prepared under the vision of “Design, Plan, Build: Shaping the Future,” the exhibition was inaugurated on April 29, 2026, at 14:00 with the participation of academic staff, students, and invited guests.

The projects exhibited were developed by students around the themes of modern structural design, planning processes, and smart infrastructure applications. The works, which transformed theoretical knowledge gained throughout the educational process into practical applications, demonstrated the students’ technical competencies and professional skills.

Held at the Ulus Vocational School campus, the exhibition highlighted the students’ innovative perspectives and practical abilities aligned with the needs of the sector. The projects, prepared within the framework of smart solutions, sustainability, and teamwork, stood out as significant examples reflecting BARÜ’s practice-oriented education approach.

During the event, the Director of Ulus Vocational School, Şükrü Teoman Güner, emphasized the importance of applied education and stated: “One of the most essential components of vocational education is the integration of theoretical knowledge with practical application. These projects prepared by our students demonstrate not only their technical knowledge but also their problem-solving, design development, and innovative thinking skills. I congratulate our students, who will contribute to shaping the future of structural and infrastructure systems, as well as the academic staff who supported them.”

It was also noted that Ulus Vocational School continues its efforts to train qualified technical professionals and support students’ innovative projects in line with its practice-oriented education approach.
