The “Structural Model Design Workshop,” organized within the Smart Infrastructure Technicians Program at Ulus Vocational School, was successfully completed. The event, held on April 15, 2026, at Ulus Vocational School, provided students with the opportunity to transform their theoretical knowledge into practical experience במסגרת the Construction Technology course.

Throughout the workshop, students developed structural models by conducting hands-on studies on technical design, scaling, and fundamental static principles. These activities contributed significantly to their professional development.

The workshop was conducted under the guidance of Lecturer Fatih Şerif Coşan, the instructor of the Construction Technology course. Lecturer Taha Öz, a faculty member of the Smart Infrastructure Technicians Program, also participated in the event and supported the students during the process.

At the end of the program, gifts were presented to the participating students by Head of Department Dr. Nurçin Seymen Aksu. In her brief evaluation during the presentation ceremony, Dr. Aksu emphasized the importance of such practical workshops in enhancing students’ professional skills. She stated: “These kinds of hands-on workshops are extremely valuable for enabling our students to translate theoretical knowledge into practice and actively engage in the production process. Through such activities, we aim to improve not only their technical competencies but also their problem-solving and design skills. In the coming period, we plan to increase and continue organizing similar workshops.”

It was highlighted that application-oriented activities like this play a crucial role in strengthening students’ sectoral competencies and increasing their professional awareness.
