Quality Processes Evaluated On-Site at Ulus Vocational School

Preparations carried out within the scope of quality assurance at Bartın University are continuing at full pace. In this context, Ulus Vocational School was visited by the university’s quality team as part of the “Guidance/Consultancy Activity for Enhancing Quality Culture,” conducted under the leadership of Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Ceylan.
The visit was attended not only by the school administration but also by a high number of academic and administrative staff. During the program, comprehensive briefings were provided on the effective implementation of quality processes at the unit level.
During the meeting, the effective use of the Quality Handbook and the Process Management Handbook, the functioning of the Quality Assurance System, and practices related to the continuous improvement approach through the PDCA (Plan–Do–Check–Act) cycle were discussed in detail. In addition, a current status assessment was conducted prior to the upcoming accreditation process, and views were exchanged on the strengths of the units as well as areas open to improvement.
As part of the program, Prof. Dr. Zafer Ceylan and the accompanying delegation also visited the practical training areas within the vocational school. In this context, the activities carried out in the clothing workshop were examined on-site, and satisfaction with the applied training practices was expressed. Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Zafer Ceylan emphasized that the active participation of all academic and administrative staff is of great importance for the sustainability of the quality assurance system, highlighting the need to strengthen institutional ownership and to further disseminate a quality-oriented working culture across the institution.
