Orientation Program Held for First-Year Students at Ulus Vocational School
A comprehensive orientation program was held at Ulus Vocational School for first-year students who began their studies in the 2026–2027 academic year.
The program was organized to support the integration of newly enrolled students in the Forestry and Forest Products, Office Management and Executive Assistance, Land Registry and Cadastre, Garment Production Technology, and Smart Infrastructure Technician programs into university life. Throughout the program, students were provided with comprehensive information about the academic, administrative, social, and career opportunities available at the university and the Vocational School.
As they took their first steps into university life, students had the opportunity to learn more about the higher education process and receive detailed information about the services and opportunities offered by the university and Ulus Vocational School.
Comprehensive Information on University Life
As part of the orientation program, students were informed about the university’s academic and administrative structure, course registration and educational processes, library services, student clubs, social and cultural activities, and various services available to students.
The program also focused on personal development, professional competencies, and career planning, alongside students’ academic development. The orientation activities aimed to help students begin their university experience in a conscious and well-planned manner while making effective use of the opportunities available to them throughout their education.
Academic Advisors Provide Information on Careers and Internships
As part of the program, academic advisors from the departments met with the students and provided information on internship opportunities, professional development, career planning, post-graduation employment prospects, and the academic pathways students can follow throughout their studies.
Students also had the opportunity to ask questions and receive guidance regarding their academic and professional development. This provided an opportunity to directly address their expectations and needs as they began the new academic year.
It was stated that the orientation program would continue to be supported by academic advising services throughout students’ university education, contributing to their adaptation to both university life and the academic environment.
The orientation program held at Ulus Vocational School concluded with best wishes for success to all students for the new academic year.
