Information Stand on Safety and Crime Prevention Held at Our Vocational School
An information stand was opened at our Vocational School under the coordination of the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Police to raise awareness among young people about various types of crime and contribute to their preparation for a safe future.
The event attracted considerable interest from students. Expert teams from the Counter-Terrorism Branch, Anti-Narcotics Branch, and Cyber Crimes Branch of the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Police provided students with information on a range of issues related to personal safety and crime prevention.
As part of the event, information was provided on combating substance abuse and drug-related crimes, the activities of terrorist organizations targeting young people, cybersecurity, and measures that can be taken against online fraud.
The Anti-Narcotics Branch introduced the “Best Narcotics Officer: Mother” project and informed students about the risks of substance addiction, ways to prevent addiction, and the importance of awareness in combating substance abuse.
Police officers working within the scope of the Counter-Terrorism Branch’s Information and Prevention Activities (BÖF) informed students about the methods used by terrorist organizations and their efforts to target young people. The presentation was supported by visual materials prepared under the slogan “Don’t Let Terror Take Away Your Future; Protect Your Future.”
The Cyber Crimes Branch also provided information within the framework of the SİBERAY project. The session addressed safe internet use, potential threats in digital environments, and precautions against online fraud and other cyber-related risks.
The event provided students with an opportunity to communicate directly with police officers and ask questions about issues of interest. The program concluded with an exchange of information and views between the students and police teams.
The importance of such awareness activities in supporting the safety of young people and helping them become informed and responsible individuals was emphasized. We would like to thank the teams of the Bartın Provincial Directorate of Police for their contributions to the organization of the event.
