The 8th International R&D Project Market, organized by Bartın University (BARU) on 20–21 November 2025, brought together academia, industry, and the entrepreneurship ecosystem over two productive days. The event, held at the Kutlubey Campus, achieved high participation through technical presentations, project exhibitions, and panel discussions.

The program opened with welcome speeches delivered by BARU Rector Prof. Dr. Ahmet Akkaya and Bartın Governor Dr. Nurtaç Arslan. On the first day, expert speakers including Okan Hocaoğlu (CEO of Japon Konutları), Mutlu Canatar (HR Director at Çimko), Atamer Akbay (Creavit R&D Center Manager), and Selim Sancı (Chief Engineer at ASELSAN) delivered insightful technical presentations. The day concluded with a Science Talks session, where BARU faculty member Prof. Dr. Mehmet Zahmakıran gave a speech titled “The Effective Scientist’s Toolbox: Communication Bridges from Idea to Impact.”

On the second day, the event continued with contributions from leading figures such as Prof. Dr. Ahmet Pınarbaşı (Ankara Yıldırım Beyazıt University), Dr. Süleyman Demir (TUSAŞ University Relations Manager), Fatih Yeter (Lead Engineer at Roketsan), and İlknur Atmaca and Anıl Okan from HAVELSAN. Additionally, a highly engaging panel on technology entrepreneurship was held, moderated by BARU Vice Rector Prof. Dr. Yafes Yıldız, and featuring Selim Serkan Ercan (KOSGEB Vice President), İsmail Yiğit Coşar (ASELSAN Chief Engineer), and Oğuzhan Tosun (Tekatron Inc.).

Students from Ulus Vocational School also participated enthusiastically. They had the opportunity to explore innovative R&D projects showcased in the exhibition area and to closely observe recent technological developments.

Among the exhibited works, the project titled “Digital Inheritance Share Management, Reporting, and Performance Platform (DİMİRAP): Intelligent System with WEB Tapu Integration,” developed by a first-year student from the Land Registry and Cadastre Program Aslı Kemik together with Lect. Dr. Eren Gürsoy Özdemir, gained significant attention. DİMİRAP stands out as an innovative digital platform designed to reduce the complexities in inheritance sharing of immovable properties, minimize idle ownership, and prevent economic losses arising from increasing stakeholder numbers in Türkiye.

The two-day event concluded with an award ceremony following the evaluation of the projects. The R&D Project Market continues to serve as an important scientific meeting point, enabling young researchers to present their projects, connect with stakeholders from various sectors, and establish new collaborations.
