Collaboration Meeting on Accessible Living Held at Ulus Vocational School

Dr. Tahir Mete Artar, Director of the Special Education Application and Research Center at Bartın University, and Dr. Salih Nar, Deputy Director, paid a visit to Ulus Vocational School.
During the meeting, which was attended by the Director of Ulus Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman Güner, potential initiatives aimed at improving accessible living practices within the school were discussed. The participants exchanged ideas particularly on enhancing inclusivity in educational processes, expanding awareness activities, and implementing practice-oriented projects.
In addition, possible institutional collaborations between Ulus Vocational School and the Special Education Application and Research Center were evaluated, with a focus on the potential for developing joint projects.
Following the meeting, the delegation visited the Textile, Clothing, Footwear, and Leather Department workshop under the supervision of the Head of Department, Dr. Kadri Akçalı, and received information about the ongoing practical training activities.
In the final evaluation made by the administration of Ulus Vocational School, it was emphasized that the concept of an accessible campus should not be limited to physical arrangements alone, but should also be supported through education, awareness, and institutional cooperation. It was stated that the planned collaborative efforts would provide significant contributions both to students and to the academic structure.
