BARÜ Ulus Vocational School Hosts Talk on “Criminal Awareness in the Era of AI and Cybercrimes”

Bartın University (BARÜ), Ulus Vocational School hosted an important guest as part of the twenty-fifth event in its Professional Talks series. Ulus Public Prosecutor Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ULAŞAN met with students and academic staff with his presentation titled “Criminal Awareness in the Age of Artificial Intelligence and Cybercrimes.”
During the event held on Tuesday, November 18, 2025, Assoc. Prof. Dr. ULAŞAN addressed the impact of rapidly developing artificial intelligence applications on the field of law, current examples of cybercrimes, and how criminal liability is shaped in the face of new technologies. Participants gained comprehensive insights, particularly on the role of law in combating AI-assisted crimes, processes of collecting digital evidence, and raising individual awareness.
The event attracted significant interest from students, and a question-and-answer session was held following the presentation. At the end of the program, the Director of Ulus Vocational School, Assoc. Prof. Dr. Şükrü Teoman GÜNER, presented a certificate of appreciation to Assoc. Prof. Dr. Fatih ULAŞAN for his contributions.
The Professional Talks series organized by Ulus Vocational School will continue with events aimed at enhancing professional awareness by bringing together experts from different fields and students.
